DISBELIEF IN INDEPENDENCE

This post serves to express how absolutely flabbergasted I am by the fact that the Dutch government doesn't have any doubt regarding the independence of the members of EFSA. The members at the GMO panel are experts in biotechnology, and since there are this is a scare profession it's likely that those same experts are (or once were) paid by the food industry. To be exact: 122 out of the 209. This looks a lot like the butcher inspecting its own meat, literally and figuratively.
This results in that our food isn't scientifically proven safe, which it should be before people consume it. The impact of the public health can not be foreseen if the motives are about making money instead of a healthy population. To prevent worse, transparency is highly important, but education is key. Confront people with the effects of certain additives, and educate them about natural products. Start young, live long.
