SMALL IDEA, BIG OUTCOME

The Netherlands is a small country, with a lot of traffic. This requires construction to make sure that everyone can travel from A to B safely. And yes, this sometimes causes inconvenience: the redirection probably takes more time than usual. The Hague came with a solution, to prevent people from biking through the roadblock the municipality decided to place the so called Calorie Road Signs.

What an awesome, simple solution to prevent construction being interrupted, but also to point out the benefits for the cyclist. And, create awareness to all the passers of the road signs, how important exercising is. I must say, that even knowing about this playful action motivates me to bike another, longer way home than the route that I usually take.
These Calorie Road Signs show me that the smallest concepts and ideas can have big influencing powers. As a future concept developer this is something I would like to achieve: create something small with the potential of big outcomes.
